Day 1. Arrival
Arrival to Tel Aviv International airport. Our representative will meet you after passport control and escort you to your transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv.
Day 2. Masada - Dead Sea - Ein Gedi Spa
Drive south and see the Judean Desert view heading to the Dead Sea. Travel to Masada, where you will ascent and descent the mountain by cable car. Masada is the last stronghold of the Zealots & the ancient fortress built by King Herod the Great. Masada is located atop a lofty natural plateau overlooking the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (1200 ft. below sea level). Drive along the coast of the Dead Sea reaching Ein Gedi Spa to enjoy its therapeutic qualities of the rich mineral hot springs Dead Sea mud. Enjoy the unique experience of floating on the rich mineral water of the Dead Sea. Transportation back to your hotel.
Day 3. Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Drive to the Old City and walk to the Cardo in the recently restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Wailing/Western Wall, the holiest of the Jewish sites. Sacred because it is a remnant of the Herodian retaining wall that once enclosed and supported the Second Temple. Walk along the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity. Return to hotel.
Day 4. Nazareth, Capernaum & Jordan River Tour
The driver will pick you up from the hotel. Tour starts heading north to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of the Annunciation (where the Angel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary). Continue to the Sea of Galilee via Cana and visit Capernaum, Jesus' main base during his Galilean ministry. Drop at Tabgha to visit the Church of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish. Travel via Tiberias to the baptismal site on the Jordan River outlet, Yardenit. The driver will transfer you back to the point of departure.
Day 5. Tel Aviv - Cairo
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrival to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 6. Cairo - Memphis - Saqqara - Great Pyramid of Giza
We begin our day with a tour of the ancient city of Memphis that lies some 12 miles south of Cairo. The ancient city is now an open air museum testifying to the magnificence of its four thousand years history. Serving Memphis lies the necropolis Saqqara a vast, ancient burial ground, featuring numerous pyramids, including the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser. We then proceed to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx located on the Giza Plateau. The Great Pyramids of Cheops or Khufu; of Khafre or Chephren; and of Menkaure have always loomed large as emblems of ancient Egypt and were listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Valley Temples surrounding the pyramids provide an insight to dominating religious motives of the era. Return to hotel for overnight.
Day 7. Cairo City Tour
Start the Cairo city tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum, with its fantastic display of ancient civilization; the Mosque of Mohammad Ali's Citadel; the old city; the Ben Ezra – Geniza Synagogue. Its store room – Geniza – was found to contain over 2000 medieval, manuscripts, a collection known as the Cairo Geniza. The El Mullakah Church (Hanging Church) one of the oldest and most famous Coptic Churches in Egypt. Continue to the City of the Dead a four mile long grid of tombs and mausoleums where people live and work amongst their dead and ancestors. Many residents live here because they were forced from more crowded areas in Cairo or emigrated from countryside. End at Bazaar of Kahn Khalili. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8. Transfer to the Airport
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for departure flight from Cairo.
