The Tour Itinerary

 Experience the beauties of Israel, Jordan and Egypt with an exciting 20 Day Tour!


Day 1 Sunday. Arrival 

Arrival to Tel Aviv International Airport. A Noah Tours representative will meet you after passport control and accompany you to your transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Monday. Jaffa – Caesarea – Haifa – Nazareth – Cana – Galilee

After breakfast drive through Jaffa, an ancient port city and the oldest part of Tel Aviv. Continue on to the ancient city of Caesarea that was built by King Herod the Great while driving along the beautiful Mediterranean coast. We will then proceed to Haifa, passing by Mt. Carmel to see the famous Bahai Gardens. From Haifa, we will drive to Nazareth and the Church of Annunciation. Drive to Cana, where the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine took place and visit the “Wedding Church”.  End the day with an overnight in Tiberias/Galilee Sea.

Day 3 Tuesday. Galilee – Mt. Beatitudes – Capernaum – Tabgha - Golan Heights 

Start the day with an exciting boat ride on the Galilee Sea. Continue to see the “Jesus Boat”, the ancient boat found sunk in the Sea of Galilee from the time of Jesus. Ascend up to Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the “Sermon on the Mount”.  Continue the day in Capernaum, known as “The Town of Jesus”, visit the synagogue and Peter’s house. Take a lunch break with a delicious St. Peters fish lunch. Next, we will visit Tabgha, the place where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place. You will also have the amazing opportunity to see the famous mosaic under the alter of the ancient church of Tabgha. Proceed to the Golan Heights and have an overview from above. End the day at your hotel in the Galilee Sea for your overnight.

Day 4 Wednesday. Jordan River – Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea

Begin the morning driving along the Jordan River to Yardenit Baptismal Site. Visit Qumran and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Travel on to Masada where you will take a cable car up to the fortress. The history of the famous Jewish fortification will unfold before your eyes; the palaces built by King Herod, the synagogue and bathhouses used by the Jews. Descend Masada by cable car and drive to the Dead Sea for some relaxation and a dip in the water. Overnight at a Dead Sea hotel and spa where you will be able to take advantage of the spa facilities.

Day 5 Thursday. Dead Sea - Mt. of Olives - Bethlehem

Take advantage of some extra sleep or an early spa treatment, since check out isn’t until 11:00 AM. Go up to the Mt. of Olives, a cemetery that once was covered in olive groves, where you will have a magnificent panoramic view of Jerusalem. Depart for Bethlehem to see the Church of Nativity located at Manger Square. Overview of the Judean Desert and Shepherd's Field. Finish the day back in Jerusalem for your overnight.

Day 6 Friday. Jerusalem (New City) - Mahane Yehuda Market

The morning will begin with a visit to Israel’s official memorial to the Holocaust, Yad VaShem, located on Mt. Herzl. Drive past The Knesset and the Israeli Supreme Court, on your way to the Israel Museum, Israel’s national museum, where you will see the Dead Sea Scrolls as well as a model of the Second Temple. Continue the day with an exciting tour of the Mahane Yehuda Marketplace (Shuk) and experience life as an Israeli. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 Saturday. Jerusalem (Old City) - Tel Aviv

Today will begin with a tour of the Garden of Gethsemane, the place where Jesus prayed and his disciples slept the night before his crucifixion. Make your way to Mt. Zion where you will visit David’s Tomb and the site of the Last Supper, also known as the “Upper Room”. We continue to the Christian Quarter where you will enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified. From there, walk where Jesus walked and make your way down Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross). The day will continue with a trip to The Cardo, what used to be a main street in the Old City during the time when Judea was under Roman rule. Go down to the Western Wall and spend some time in reflection and/or prayer. End the day with an overnight in Tel Aviv. 

Day 8 Sunday.  Tel Aviv - Sh. Hussein Bridge - Jerash - Ajloun -  Amman

Drive from Tel Aviv to the border. After border crossing procedures to enter Jordan. Transfer for the visit of Jerash, the Pompei of the East. Jerash has been covered by sand for centuries, which is the main reason why it is still so well-preserved. You will enter Jerash through the monumental South Gate and find yourself wandering around in a Roman city. You will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors. Enjoy a stroll along Jerash's main road, the Cardo, and pass by the Nymphaeum. You may experience the marvellous acoustics of the theatre, from the Jerash music festival which takes place every year. See for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the colonnaded streets. After the visit, transfer for the visit of Ajloun an Islamic military castle that was used by the Islamic armies of Saladin to protect the region against the crusaders. At the end of the afternoon transfer to Amman. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 Monday. Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Kerak – Shoubak -  Petra

After breakfast, visit of Mt Nebo, the place where Moses looked over the Holy Land and the Dead Sea. That is the place where Moses was seen for the last time, therefore we consider this place as burial place for Moses. You can visit here the memorial church of Moses. If the sky is clear, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Jericho will meet your eye. Then transfer for the visit of Madaba. Famous for the unique mosaic map of the Holy Land, which can be found on Saint George’s church floor. Transfer to Kerak, the magnificent crusader's fortress. Proceed via the crusaders castle - Shobak, to Wadi Mussa, the modern village of Petra for overnight. 

Day 10 Tuesday Petra - Wadi Rum

After early breakfast, leave the hotel and travel south on the road Wadi Musa. Then on horseback to the "Siq" (canyon) and then on foot to Petra known as "Sela Edom" or red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from 3rd century B.C. to 2nd Century A.D. Visit the most interesting monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks, the altar, (Al Madhbah) from this point you can view the whole of the rock city. Overnight in Wadi Run Camp

Day 11 Wednesday  Wadi Rum (4x4) - Dead Sea (Amman Beach 2) - Amman

After breakfast enjoy a 4x4 jeep adventure in Wadi Rum. Drive to the Dead Sea for a half day at your disposal dedicated for relaxation and spa time. Drive to Amman for overnight.

Day 12 Thursday Amman - Amman Airport - Cairo

After breakfast, transfer to Amman Airport for your flight to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo

Day 13 Friday Cairo - Memphis -Saqqara - Great Pyramid of Giza

We begin our day with a tour of the ancient city of Memphis that lies some 12 miles south of Cairo. The ancient city is now an open air museum testifying to the magnificence of its four thousand years history. Serving Memphis lies the necropolis Saqqara a vast, ancient burial ground, featuring numerous pyramids, including the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser. We then proceed to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx located on the Giza Plateau. The Great Pyramids of Cheops or Khufu; of Khafre or Chephren; and of Menkaure have always loomed large as emblems of ancient Egypt and were listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Valley Temples surrounding the pyramids provide an insight to dominating religious motives of the era. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 14 Saturday Cairo City Tour

Start the Cairo city tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum, with its fantastic display of ancient civilization; the Mosque of Mohammad Ali's Citadel; the old city; the Ben Ezra – Geniza Synagogue. Its store room – Geniza – was found to contain over 2000 medieval, manuscripts, a collection known as the Cairo Geniza. The El Mullakah Church (Hanging Church) one of the oldest and most famous Coptic Churches in Egypt. Continue to the City of the Dead a four mile long grid of tombs and mausoleums where people live and work amongst their dead and ancestors. Many residents live here because they were forced from more crowded areas in Cairo or emigrated from countryside. End at Bazaar of Kahn Khalili. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 15 Sunday Cairo

Free day in Cairo (Optional Alexandria Day Tour).

Day 16 Monday Transfer to Luxor - Board Cruise - East Bank Tour

After breakfast, flight to Luxor where you will be met with our representative , who will transfer you to your Nile cruiser for check in. Afternoon, you will visit Karnak Temples Complex, the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. The Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom specially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II. Our next visit of today will be to Temple of Luxor, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC. After the tour, we will return to our Ship for rest and refresh. Afternoon tea will be served on board. Dinner meal will be served on board, then overnight in Luxor.

Day 17 Tuesday Luxor West Bank Tour

Breakfast meal will be served on board. After that, you will join our expert tour guide to explore the west bank of Luxor, the city of the dead. Our first visit will be to Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. We will then visit Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. Finally, we will visit The Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC. After the tour, we will return to our Ship for rest and refresh. Afternoon tea will be served on board. Dinner meal will be served on board, then overnight in Luxor.

Day 18 Wednesday Edfu - Kom Ombo

Energizing breakfast meal will be served on board before our full day tour. Our Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus. After your amazing visit, you will get back to the ship, so we can enjoy the lunch on board while sailing to the city of Kom Ombo. Arrange yourself for the second visit of the day, whereas we will meet Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, the temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. Evening time is free at leisure to enjoy the Egyptian folklore show on board.

Day 19 Thursday Aswan City Tour - Aswan Dam

Breakfast meal will be served on board. After that you will prepare yourself to join your expert tour guide to explore the wonderful city of Aswan. Our first visit of the day will be to The High Dam, constructed in the 1960s by the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser to protect Egypt from the flood of the Nile. We will then ride in a motorboat to reach Agilika Island, where we can visit Temple of Philae, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the center of the worship of the goddess Isis. We will then proceed to visit The Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan. After the tour board a sleeper train back to Cairo.

Day 20 Friday Cairo- Departure

Transfer from Train Station to Cairo Airport for departure.

Important Notes

  • Tour starts on Sunday from Tel Aviv.

  • In case of non availability of a Kibbutz Hotel, a hotel in the Galilee will be designated.

  • All rooms are standard rooms. Optional room upgrades are available upon request for a supplement fee.

  • All categories of hotel class stay in the same Kibbutz Hotel in the Galilee no matter which hotel class was booked, except Executive.

  • Option for Superior and Deluxe class to upgrade to a non-Kibbutz Hotel for a supplement fee.

  • In case the hotels mentioned in the table are not available, a similar hotel from the same category will be booked.

  • Dead Sea hotel is upon availiability.
